Our Vision
eSMART is an ambitious project that brings together vertical farming standardisation, food, health, transgenerational heritage and education. It also includes new practices for Research and Innovation where citizens become co-researchers and change-makers.
The long term vision is to create spaces for transdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary innovation, from a local perspective.
It develops around various SDGs -such as health care, youth employment, food security, environmental justice and gender equity-. This operational model will be scaled and analysed in other European countries.
Modular/Nomadic Greenhouse Systems
The peri-urban areas of many European cities can thus become a place of meeting, reflection and project development. The project, therefore, has a logic of territory that does not only concern an urban centre/capital of a region but also fosters dialogue with many small towns with the typical criticalities of the small centres of inner territories.
